** SUMMARY **
Act 1
Act 2

** BACKGROUND **

  • In the sixties, Gilles was a member of the "Atelier de Theatre de Baden-Baden" for four years. He toured Germany with several famous French actors of the time (Jacques Higelin, Daniel Le Roy, Francois Hélie), presenting mostly French “Classical” plays of: Molière, Courteline, Labiche and others, 20th century dramas: Pirandello, as well as poetry readings and recitals.
  • During that period, he produced, directed and was the main character in Eugène Labiche's comedy Les deux Timides (Two Shy Guys).
  • Since the mid 70's, he provided financial support during many years in New York to the French Studio Dramatique directed by Marcel Lidji.
  • From 1982 to 1984, while on assignment in Haiti with an American NGO, he joined a local group of French/Haitian actors and performed again in French classical comedies (Molière's The Tartuffe and The Imaginary Invalid, among others) and theater music in Port-au-Prince and other major cities (Jacmel, Les Cayes, Cap-Haitien, Gonaïves)
  • He regretfully had to stop his activities as a stage actor, as his busy schedule in Africa for some 20 years prevented him from joining other theater groups: Rehearsals are so time consuming... Nevertheless, he remained creative in other ways, providing his assistance in directing, and designing posters and stage sets. See Pictures and more

** HIS GOAL **

  • Since he considers that life is a Divine stage set, he plays his role daily with all his conviction and talents, always following his dreams and fighting for them with faith, as advised by Paulo Coelho (Santiago, The Alchemist)...
